Social Evenings

Submitted by ippei on Tue, 2007-09-25 09:31.

We meet at a pub every Thursday. Everyone is welcome regardless of society membership, previous contact, your degree/occupation, whatever.

McEwans Ale House on Clerk Street (Google Maps)
Opposite Lloyds TSB Bank, next to Edinburgh Bargain Store and Oscars takeout
Thursday, from 8.30pm onwards

Our first social this year counted at least 50 people at a glance, and could well be over 70 of you in total must have shown up. It was truely fantastic to see so many faces. We are also glad to welcome so many exchange students from Japan as well as larger crowd of first year students this year, encouraging all of us to enjoy the cultural exchange more than any previous years.

The socials will resume in Fresher's Week 2008 for the new 2008/09 academic term.

First social night

Submitted by ippei on Wed, 2007-09-19 16:11.

We meet at a pub every Thursday. Everyone is welcome regardless of society membership, previous contact, your degree/occupation, whatever.

Our first social night is on this Thursday (Sep. 20) from 8.30pm at Tron on Hunter Square. We'll most likely be at down stairs getting the cozy corner section for ourselves. Please come along♪

(From the second gathering (Sep. 27), we are planning to move to McEwans pub on Nicolson Street just opposite the Lloyds TSB Bank. That should be more convenient location for majority of us. On the first night there we would probably have pub quiz. Details to be confirmed. Please stay tuned!)
