SUSHI, SAKÉ, SUMO - does exactly what it says on the tin. Come
participate in our sushi making classes, and learn how to make the
basic California roll. Or, for something a little more adventurous,
battle it out against a friend in our sumo ring. If all that isn't
enough for you there will also be an opportunity to sample some
Japanese sake in our saké tasting challenge.

We recommend arriving early to avoid disappointment.

Coinciding with each other the Japanese Society and 3 other Edinburgh-based Japanese related groups are having Hanami party at Meadows on 26th of April. You are welcome to join us through any part of the afternoon, and please feel free to bring food, drink, and/or whatever appropriate for a party under the blossoming cherry trees.

Us and another group has postponed the event as there were no flower in Meadows. As finally the Meadows turned into pink again, the new date was set: May 10th. The other group having Hanami with us is:

We will go to Glasgow and have a day of fun next Saturday the 26th. As most of you are aware, we had initially planned on having the option of watching Celtic Football Club play at Park Head. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts we had to forgo this option.

We plan to meet the Glasgow University Japanese Society at the Counting House Wetherspoons at 12:30. We will have lunch at the pub and then everyone can explore the city, do some sightseeing, etc before meeting up again in the evening for a meal at Wagamama around 6pm:
